Meet Mr. Lessing

Thomas Lessing is the Owner and Chief Instructor of Lessing’s TaeKwonDo. Currently Mr. Lessing holds the rank of Fourth Degree Black Belt with TaeKwonDo America. Mr. Lessing began his training in 1988 in Charlotte, North Carolina under Master George Strickland. By the time he was 15 years of age, Mr. Lessing was a Certified Instructor and had decided to make TaeKwonDo his career. Mr. Lessing holds both National as well as Grand National championship titles in Forms and Sparring competitions.
In 2001, Mr. Lessing relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina and resumed his training under Master Julee Peck of Peck’s TaeKwonDo. He opened his own school in 2005, starting out by renting space in a local health facility’s areobic’s gym. Through much hard work and dedication, Lessing’s TaeKwonDo moved into its own retail space in June of 2006. Due to the continued growth and success of the school, Lessing’s TaeKwonDo has relocated to a larger location in Holly Springs in March of 2008.
Teaching TaeKwonDo has been Mr. Lessing’s passion. He strives to see that his students take what they can from what TaeKwonDo has to offer - whether it be achieving their black belt, or simply gaining more self-confidence. His biggest goal is to be able to give back to the art of TaeKwonDo what TaeKwonDo has given him over the years.
